Claudio Fenucci interviewed by Sky Sport 24

Bologna’s CEO Claudio Fenucci spoke to Sky Sport 24 yesterday as the day drew to a close: “After changing our manager and with a lot of players coming in over the summer, we knew that we could have a few difficulties at the beginning. There is definitely room for improvement, and the Coach and his staff are working to improve things, especially as regards the players’ awareness of the new system that they’re playing. We expect the team to develop in this regard in the upcoming games. As for some refereeing decisions, as usual I would prefer not to comment. As Inzaghi has already said, some of the decisions made in recent games didn’t seem to be correct. As a whole, you ask that referees be as consistent as possible with their decisions and we are hoping that the interaction between the man in the middle and the VAR officials improves. But it has to be said that there have been many steps forward in this respect.

“Santander needed a bit of time to overcome some difficulties he had physically, but now he is becoming a driving force on the pitch and will be an important player as the season goes on. It’s a bit early to be talking about the transfer market – we have confidence in the squad we put together in July and we still need a few more games to really judge the lads. If the squad needs reinforcements in January, we do have the means to change things.”
