Renato Dall’Ara and Arpad Weisz enter Italian Football Hall of Fame

With Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci in attendance, the awards ceremony for the seventh edition of the Italian Football Hall of Fame was held in Florence. With the stage set up in the Salone dei Cinquecento in the Palazzo Vecchio, posthumous awards were assigned in the memory of Renato Dall’Ara, Arpad Weisz, Stefano Farina, Italo Allodi and Azeglio Vicini.

As club Chairman, Dall’Ara led Bologna for 30 years and he was recognised as one of the directors to have won the most in Italy with five Serie A titles along with a Paris Exhibition Trophy that was won together with the Hungarian Coach who was recognised as a pioneer for scientific research in football.

At the ceremony, attendees included the FIGC’s Extraordinary Commissioner Roberto Fabbricini, Sub Commissioners Alessandro Costacurta and Angelo Clarizia, FIGC CEO and UEFA Vice President Michele Uva, current Italy Coach Luigi Di Biagio, Team Manager Gabriele Oriali, Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella and former AIC President Sergio Campana who also played for Bologna in the late 1950s.
