Mattia Destro to Sky Sport

Mattia Destro spoke to Sky with the group staying close to the Coach at this difficult time. “I feel good physically, I came to pre-season ready to have a big year. My priority is to give my best in training and improve on my weak points. I know myself, you get what you see with me and I’m always myself. Believe in me, I always look to do my best. I’ve had tough times and I got through them thanks to the Coach. As soon as he came, he put his trust in me and he pushed me to go beyond my limits. In order to be Bologna’s centre-forward, I’m prepared to do anything, I made a promise to the Coach and I want to stick to it. For me, scoring goals is crucial but I need to help the team more and I’m working to do this so that I can perform more consistently. The goal against Sassuolo? It was unforgettable for me. I like everything about this team, we all work together for a big goal. We don’t set limits, we want it all. You need to be more positive and play on the attack in every game. There are lots of good strikers in Serie A but the most important challenge is the one with myself in training every day. If I can win that, I’m not afraid of anyone else.”
