‘Bologna For Community’ were pitchside for Saturday’s #BFCSassuolo to condemn violence against women

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November, a special ‘Bologna For Community’ initiative was organised at the Dall’Ara on Saturday: for #BFCSassuolo, the stadium accompaniment service was entirely dedicated to combating violence against women with disabilities.

Thanks to the collaboration with CHIAMA chiAMA, the non-profit MondoDonna Onlus Association for combating violence against women with disabilities, Bologna and PMG Italia all together said ‘NO to violence against women‘.

“Bologna For Community” accompanied women with disabilities to the stadium to stand for all those who cannot enjoy such a simple right as a fun day out. Participating in the initiative, sponsored by the Emilia Romagna Region, were the Mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore, Bologna City Councillor for Sport Roberta Li Calzi, Deputy Mayor Emily Clancy, city councillors, Bologna entrepreneurs and, representing Bologna, Kevin Bonifazi, united in a symbolic embrace to all women who fight every day to escape violence.

The fans of the Curva Bulgarelli and Centro Bologna Clubs also joined the embrace by displaying a special dedicated banner.
