Bologna For Community: at the stadium with Yousuf, a young Afghan refugee

The special initiatives held by Bologna For Community continue. This time, the theme was one of inclusion and integration – values that the project has always held dear. The receiver of the services’ this time around was Karim Yousuf, a young Afghan boy, who was forced to leave his country alone at just 17 years of age due to the current turmoil in the country and who, before arriving in Italy, went through some extremely tough moments.

Thanks to the welcome he has received in Italy – and, in particular, in the province of Bologna – Karim has found work and accommodation and is achieving his dream of becoming a footballer, having linked up with the Vergato first team.

Yesterday for Bologna vs. Roma, Bologna For Community didn’t just provide their usual disability support but also turned the match into an occasion for welcoming and integration. Bologna For Community wanted to show their support for this young boy and invited him to the Dall’Ara to watch the game from the stands. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with PMG Italia, Bologna FC, the Sto Con volunteers and the Bologna Clubs Centre.
