Verdi makes Azzurri debut, whilst Krafth and Helander both start for Sweden

After making his debut with the Italian national team on Tuesday evening, Simone Verdi became the 52nd Rossoblu player to play for the Azzurri, as he replaced Marco Verratti in the 91st minute during their 2-1 win over the Netherlands. Following Verdi’s first senior international, there has now been a total of 375 appearances made by Bologna players for the national team (and 61 goals scored). We are proud of you Simone!

Emil Krafth and Filip Helander also enjoyed a positive evening on Tuesday, as they both played their part in Sweden’s 3-2 win over Portugal in Lisbon. The two Rossoblu players earned starting roles for their side and were eventually substituted in the 70th and 89th minute respectively. Meanwhile, Erick Pulgar did not feature during Chile’s win over Venezuela, as they continued their strong World Cup qualifying campaign.
