Captain Blerim Dzemaili had this to say when interviewed by Sky: “The game against Cagliari was a step backwards compared to what we had shown from the Roma game onwards. On a personal level, I know that I’m one of the most experienced players in the group. I’ve been an ever-present under the Coach but the most important thing is to play well rather than play often. When I look back to the very start of the season, I feel like I’m developing as a player, but I know I’ll often be judged on the number of goals I score, especially after my first season with Bologna. But what interests me the most is reaching 40 points as quickly as possible. We’ve lacked a bit of character in our away games but we will improve in this respect. I’m only thinking positively because I can see how the team is working. It’s certainly the case that big games await us after the international break and we need to get points on the board.”
