Skorupski’s career so far

The first Polish player in the history of Bologna, Lukasz Skorupski is a modern goalkeeper of great size but with special reflexes. He’s explosive when coming to claim the ball while he’s powerful when using his legs. The best period of his career came at Empoli during the two seasons spent there between 2015 and 2017 when he played a starring role. During 66 matches in Tuscany, he distinguished himself by being reliable in goal, brave when coming off his line and determined when making stops even at short range in a way that revealed his sharp reflexes and extraordinary agility.

He returned to Roma after the two-year loan, spending most of the time on the bench behind the first choice Alisson. After playing for hometown club Gornik Zabrze in the region of Silesia, he picked up youth international experience with Poland before making his senior debut at 21 in 2012. He was last called up for Poland in March, playing for a half against South Korea. He was on the provisional squad list for the current World Cup in Russia but dropped out with a minor injury. In 2018, he moved to Bologna on a permanent deal.
