Post-match thoughts from Palladino and Bernardeschi

Raffaele Palladino reflected on today’s draw: “I couldn’t expect a perfect performance. I asked the team to respond as a united group, with a strong desire to bounce back and the right spirit, and I saw all of that for around 70 minutes. We had the game in our hands, although there are certainly areas to improve. Conceding that goal was very disappointing. We wanted to win, but I take great encouragement from the spirit and unity the group showed. We now have three weeks to work hard and instil our principles.”

Federico Bernardeschi said: “We tried to approach the game in the right way and put the coach’s ideas into practice, but we are still missing something. It is disappointing because it has been a long time since we won in front of our fans, who always support us. Palladino’s impact has been outstanding. He has given us so much in just three days, and now it is up to us to give him everything and follow his lead because I believe he can take us far. This is a strong, united group. Periods like this happen in football, and we will come through it together. The break will be crucial, particularly in helping us absorb what the coach wants from us.”
