Post-match comments after Supercup victory over Inter

Ciro Immobile said: “I’m happy for the team. Ravaglia was fundamental and gave us the chance to reach the final, I just finished the job. Napoli? They’re a strong team. We know that and we saw that yesterday. But a final is a one-off match, and we’ll give it our all.”

Tommaso Pobega also spoke after the win: “We’re happy to have reached the final and to have another chance to bring home a trophy. We showed our quality and we’re delighted. Now we can’t wait to start preparing for the final and to give it everything we’ve got. Mutual trust is the strength of this team. The final? It will be a different match compared to the league game against Napoli. Now we’ll work to try to limit them as much as possible.”

Head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, had this to say: “Ciro as the fifth penalty taker? It worked out perfectly. We chose him for moments like this. The decisive kick fell to him and he was excellent, as he’s shown for many years. The match started with a setback, it wasn’t easy to equalise and stay in the game throughout. We had a great first half, Inter were better after the break, and you need a bit of luck with penalties. We’re absolutely delighted, and from tomorrow we’ll start preparing for this new final.”

Lastly, Giovanni Fabbian commented: “This was a group effort. We’re a united team on and off the pitch, and we show that in games like these. We prepared well, did a great job of coming back from behind, and worked like a big team. We’re happy now, but from tomorrow we have to get back to work because Monday is the most important match.”
