Mirko Pavinato to receive Order of Merit of the Italian Republic

Historic former Bologna captain Mirko Pavinato who was part of the team that won the 1964 Scudetto-winning side will be awarded with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Pavinato is among the 22 figures who will become knights tomorrow on Saturday 2nd June with a ceremony at 17:00 CEST.

Some footage of the famous playoff against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico will be projected at the event to remember the sporting achievements of Bologna and to celebrate the tenacity, selflessness and enthusiasm of Pavinato who was a great both in sport and in life and a real role model for young people.
