This is what the Coach had to say following Bologna’s 3-1 win against Empoli:

“I’m very happy for myself, these players and the magnificent crowd. The fans are now enjoying themselves and always need to be thanked. At half-time, I told the lads to remain patient and not overdo things because the goals would come, and this is what happened. We’re very close to the finish line, it’s great to share these emotions with our fans. Bologna have a mature, aggressive and intense side that create chances and always play to win. The boys have taken these concepts on board really well. However, we’re not safe yet. But we will be if we win on Monday in Milan, as I’ve just said to the team. I’m especially happy for Sporting Director Bigon, who was called into question during the first months of the season. The team have improved mentally as well as in terms of how they work and the application they show. The results have now arrived.”
