Mihajlovic: “We deserved to win”

Sinisa Mihajlovic following the 1-1 home draw against Genoa.

“We deserved to win. We started well, took the lead and then we dropped off a bit but then we came out for the second half with the right attitude. I like to see the team attacking like that, perhaps at times we took some risks but we always went for it. The guys did well, there was very little missing but we can’t forget that under Prandelii, Genoa are a tough, well-organised side who defend well and they have quick players. For me, the disappointing thing was the end of the first half when we perhaps were a bit too afraid to win and look for the goal to kill it off and instead we sat back a bit too much before conceding.”
