“We looked leggy in the final 20 minutes but that’s normal; we knew we’d have to suffer a bit. The context was as it was and between cramp and poor decision-making in possession, we conceded twice. It’s a real shame because at least a point was there for the taking. The boys did all that they could; we could’ve even gone 2-1 up but hit the post. Let’s not forget that we’re coming off a week of training at home. We didn’t have any options off the bench and it was to be expected that Cagliari would come onto us at the end. It’s a shame we had to play today: this game shouldn’t have gone ahead but the rules are what they are. We could’ve played tomorrow too but Cagliari didn’t want to. We’ll see in the end, the wheel keeps turning. Orso scored a great goal today but they all did well for 70 minutes.”
