Gonzalez: “This team has character”

Here is what Giancarlo Gonzalez had to say in the mixed zone after Sunday’s draw with Sassuolo:

“We had a few chances to score and to possibly even get a third. Sassuolo played the ball well but we kept our shape and showed our identity. The draw stings a bit because we conceded a late goal, but we were never disjointed and we demonstrated character. However, there were some moments when we could’ve done better in managing possession. Our goal must be to keep working hard and looking to improve, even on the small things. We are a proper side and every player is committed to the cause. We’re now looking ahead, already focused on next Sunday’s game against Atalanta.”
