“We needed to give a response today and we did that. We deserved to win; it’s a nice feeling. Sassuolo are an undeniably good team but we dug deep at the start and then got up to speak. We then killed off the game. Overall, we’ve had a good first half of the season; there’s the regret for dropped points here and there but it’s normal that you commit the odd mistake. This is a great group and you can see that on the pitch; we know that we can always count on our teammates. I’m sure that this spirit will bring us results. I hope that we can keep this form up in 2022 and maybe even improve.”
