Amey included in The Guardian’s Next Generation 2022

Wisdom Amey has been included in The Guardian’s list of the 60 most promising talents born in 2005. He is the second Bologna player to be included in consecutive years after Kacper Urbanski made an appearance in the previous edition.

On 12 May 2021, Amey became the youngest player ever to make their Serie A debut, having been brought on in the final minute of Bologna 0-2 Genoa at just 15 years and 274 days.

He was brought to the Club in the 2019 summer transfer window by Head of the Youth Sector Daniele Corazza and has since played at U15, U17 and U18 level, before spending last season with the Primavera. Furthermore, he has taken part in two summer training camps with the first team. This season, he is Luca Vigiani’s third most-used defender with 321 minutes played.
