“Our hopes for qualification took a real hit after the first leg. Today we tried to play our game, but it came down to efficiency. Aston Villa practically scored with every shot. We started well, but they were an impressive opponent and they have an extra gear compared to us.

We have to acknowledge the strength they showed: here we’re really talking about strong individual differences that can only be bridged with outstanding performances from everyone.”
