Tommaso Pobega joins Bologna
Bologna FC 1909 is delighted to announce the signing of Tommaso Pobega from AC Milan on loan until 30 June 2025, with the option to make the deal permanent.
A left-footed midfielder, Tommaso is physically strong and poses a threat with his runs forward and shots from distance. A powerful presence, he is a classic modern midfielder who is known for his ability to recover possession and make his mark at the attacking end of the pitch, as shown by his numbers during his four loan spells away from AC Milan, where he spent the last two seasons.
Pobega was a key figure (ending up as the team’s second-highest goalscorer) as Spezia maintained their Serie A status under Vincenzo Italiano in 2020/21. He made a further step up the following campaign as he moved to Juric’s Torino. His consistent performances for the Granata also led to his first Italy call-ups (under Mancini) after also impressing at U21 level. He made his Azzurri debut in June 2022, against Germany at the Dall’Ara.
After returning to AC Milan, Tommaso made his debut for the Rossoneri and got to experience European football: he made his first Champions League appearance (one goal in twelve matches in Europe’s elite competition so far) in September 2022. Now, he is ready for a new adventure in Rossoblù.
