Thiago Motta Serie A Coach of the Month for February

Lega Serie A has confirmed that, on the basis of Bologna’s results from matchday 21 to matchday 24, Thiago Motta is the Coach of the Month for February. He will receive his award prior to Saturday’s game against Lazio.

“Thiago Motta is the first coach to win the Coach of the Month award with two different sides; he previously won it in January last year when he was in charge of Spezia,” said Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo. “It recognises the abilities of the former Italy midfielder, under whom the Rossoblù established themselves in the top half of the table in February. Despite having a few players unavailable, Thiago Motta was able to get the best out of the squad at his disposal, with Bologna raising their performance levels by playing proactively as a collective unit. The influence of this ever-improving coach is clear.”
