Taider: “We played as a team and picked up a good point”

Saphir Taider had this to say following Bologna’s draw during their first game of the season on Sunday: “It’s a good point picked up in a difficult match, particularly against strong and combative opposition. We deserved this result. We knew that most of the game would be fought hard in midfield and we never took a step backwards. We wanted to start well and we also had to respond following our elimination from the Coppa Italia. We must now keep working on this path to help us prepare for the next match. Today we played as a team, we helped each other all across the pitch and we are pleased with our display. After initially taking the lead we did then have the chance to double it, but Torino managed to level things. However, we kept plugging away just like the coach always asks of us. We put in a wholesome Bologna performance and we managed to trouble Torino.”
