Statistics round-up after three games: Bologna second for shots on target

A great weekend, which saw Bologna move up to joint fourth position in Serie A alongside Udinese and the two Genoa clubs, also allowed the Rossoblu to reach the upper echelons of the stats tables concerning a few attacking indicators. With 35 shots on goal, Bologna are fifth in the league, but, if you count only shots on target, the Rossoblu move up to second place behind Torino. Saphir Taider stands out as one of the players to have had a good start to the season. He has taken 9 shots and, in addition to his great goal against Il Toro, the Algerian hit the post against Crotone and saw a fine shot saved by Storari against Cagliari. Blerim Dzemaili has also made a noteworthy contribution to the Rossoblu’s cause having shot five times in just 157 minutes on the pitch. However Mattia Destro, the scorer of the winning goal in the first match, stands above the rest with ten shots. In the whole of Serie A, only Belotti, Dzeko and Politano are ahead of him. We’ve still yet to score in the first 15 minutes of either half whilst our average time in possession is 24 mins 25 secs a game. Two players have played all 288 minutes so far: Krafth and Gastaldello.
