Saputo: “Well done, lads. We’re proud of you”

Bologna president Joey Saputo had this to say after the Rossoblu’s Primavera side won the Viereggio Cup: “I would like to congratulate our boys on this extraordinary achievement. This success is one of prestige for Bologna and comes 52 years after we last won this prestigious international tournament. I would like to applaud everyone, including the players, who demonstrated their quality, professionalism and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, and Emanuele Troise and his staff. Everyone involved in the technical department needs to be applauded too. This success and the fact we’re currently first in the league are testament to the excellent work being carried out in Bologna’s youth academy. Well done, lads. We’re proud of you.”
