Saelemaekers’ post-match comments

Alexis Saelemaekers spoke following the game: “Today, there was a special atmosphere at the Dall’Ara: the whole city was behind us and you could see it. It got a bit complicated in the second half when we dropped tempo but it was important to keep playing and not concede. My goal? I saw the space and took my chance, it went well, I am happy. Last year at AC Milan, I didn’t play regularly, I have worked a lot with Bologna staff and I want to thank them because today I feel 100%. I am also happy for Lykogiannis: he works hard and showed his quality today. Thiago Motta understands football, you see he was a great player, he passes on his experience and is an incredible coach. We look at the table but it’s more important to work every day as the coach asks of us and at the end of the season we will see where we get to”.
