Luogo di nascita Montevideo - Uruguay
Scorer of 12 vital goals in what was the best season of his career, Avenatti’s integral input helped Ternana avoid relegation last season. Directly helping his side earn 15 points throughout the season, Felipe was a constant presence for the Rossoverdi and finally earned a move to the top Italian tier this summer after a four-year spell with his former club.
A colossal presence in attack, the striker is surprisingly elegant when in possession of the ball and always seeks to be in constant communication with his offensive teammates. Improvements are still needed in terms of intensity and consistency during matches, however he is already a clear threat when striding into the opposition penalty area. Despite the many coaching changes at the Fere last season, Avenatti was always first choice at the front. Supported by either two creative players or a fellow striker, Falletti always retained his spot in the Ternana starting XI.
Growing up in Montevideo and then in the Atlético River Plate youth ranks, he reached the first team at just 18-years-old, shortly after then playing his part in the Under-20 World Cup, as he repaid the faith placed in him by coach Verzieri with a decisive goal in the quarter-finals against Spain. This is also saw an important year with River, as he scored 11 goals to help his side qualify for the South American Cup, subsequently drawing the attention of those in European football. A move to Umbria then arrived at the end of August in 2013. Following a four-year stint with Ternana, Bologna came calling in August 2017, as Avenatti became the 22nd Uruguayan to ever feature for the club. This latest arrival continues a long tradition of combining the Rossoblu colours with that of the Celeste.
