Perani passed away one year ago today

One year ago on 18 October 2017, Marino Perani left us. The Bologna great was born in Ponte Nossa (Bg) on 27 October 1939. He was a key figure in the Bologna side who played like you could ‘only in heaven’, representing the club in 1958-59 and then again from 1960 to 1974. Overall, he made 415 appearances and he’s fifth in the club’s appearance charts, behind only Bulgarelli, Roversi, Nervo and Reguzzoni. A classic winger, he was also capable of scoring himself and he won Serie A in 1964. He also won the 1970 Coppa Italia, the 1970 Anglo-Italian League Cup and the 1961 Mitropa Cup. At the end of his playing career, he twice coached Bologna. Once from January 1979 before being in charge for the entire 1979-80 season.
