Palacio: “We have to play with the same attitude in the next nine games”

Rodrigo Palacio was one of the players who spoke in the mixed zone following today’s dramatic win:

“We’re happy because we picked up three important points. We came back after a break which fell during our best period of the season and we knew that Sassuolo were strong but we responded well to win at the end of a balanced game. Their equaliser was a big blow for us mentally but thankfully Mattia Destro decided to go and score and we’re all happy. Now, Atalanta are up next and they’re a very physical side but we’re in form and we have the right mentality. We’ll work to get the three points because we know that we need to win to stay up. We have nine games left but I’m sure that we can stay up if we play with this attitude.”

With Mihajlovic, we have a newfound enthusiasm. We’re more attacking, we feel good with this style of play and I like to play as the centre-forward. I’m 36 and it’s not easy for me but I have great desire, I’m in shape, I train well and I do what the Coach asks. I’m not a great goalscorer but I look to help the team.”
