Mbaye’s Senegal face Namibia later today
Senegal will host Namibia today in Dakar in the sixth and final fixture in qualification for the 2017 African Cup of Nations. Ibrahima Mbaye and his teammates are currently 41st in the FIFA World Ranking and they have already qualified for the competition which will be held in Gabon between the 21st January and 12th February after winning all five of their matches with the Lions of Teranga encountering few difficulties with Niger and Burundi being the other sides in the group. Coach Aliou Cissè and his team will hope to improve on their last showing at the tournament when they failed to progress beyond the first round.
Mbaye made his debut for his country last spring during a 2-0 friendly win in Rwanda and he will compete for a place on his natrual right flank. Senegal vs. Namibia will kick off at 18:30 CEST at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
