Dzemaili: “The armband is an honour but there are many leaders in this team”

This is what Blerim Dzemaili had to say after Sunday’s game:

“We went out there to get a win tonight and to also to send a positive message to the fans. We troubled Padova right from the off, forcing them to remain in their own half and creating chances that we couldn’t finish off. We were more dangerous in the second half and the goal finally arrived. I’m happy to wear the captain’s armband and representing the city is an honour, but there are many leaders in this team and the important thing is always the team. We’re pleased to have qualified, but let’s now focus on Sunday. An important season lies ahead and if we keep showing this type of character then we’ll keep succeeding.”
