Di Vaio speaks to Sky ahead of the new season
With our first competitive match of the season only two days away, Marco Di Vaio gave his thoughts to Sky: “We’ve got a difficult match ahead of us, our opponent is a top team, something that we’ve seen recently with their performances at the end of last season. The other night in their Europa League qualifier, AC Milan once again demonstrated their growth, both in terms of their physicality and in terms of self-confidence, but we’ll meet the challenge head-on, and we’ll try to show off what we can do on the pitch. After last season we’ve got high expectations for our young players, who have all been in with a shout of getting international call-ups: together with the Coach, they will continue to grow, and we have every faith that they can have a big season. Could Musa Barrow have his big break this year? Yes, I think so: since he’s been at the Club, he’s already displayed some impressive talent. For teams like ours, the goal is always to get more points than we did in the previous season: with the growth of the youngsters and the help of Palacio, Poli, Medel and the other experienced players, we think we can achieve this. And we’re hoping to get the fans back to the Dall’Ara as soon as possible.”
