Club statement

Bologna FC 1909 would, once again, like to thank the huge number of fans that, yesterday evening, welcome to team bus outside the Dall’Ara ahead of the game against Benevento. It was the usual pure outpouring of affection for our colours; the images of this gathering were immediately shared on our official channels and shown on the big screen at the ground both during the warm-up and as the players came out onto the pitch before kick-off with the aim of this stark message of the support reaching the players to an even greater extent.

We are incredibly sorry that various quotes from a video, which was taken inside the coach and was not intended for publication, said jokingly and without any intent to offend – and that were also meant to defuse the pre-match tension – have provoked resentment from many fans. We would therefore like to reiterate our sincere gratitude to all those who braved the cold and snow in order to come and support their team, without even being able to watch the match.
