Benjamin Dominguez joins Bologna

Bologna FC 1909 is delighted to announce the signing of Benjamin Dominguez from Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata on a permanent deal.

The 16th Argentine to play for the Rossoblù, Benjamin is one of the most interesting prospects in his country. A right-footed left winger with outstanding technique, he loves to carry the ball forward with the aim of getting shots away. Blessed with plenty of talent, Dominguez poses a big threat in one-on-ones, is full of running and is precise in front of goal.

Fast and imaginative, Benjamin developed as a player at Gimnasia before making his professional debut with the same club in November 2021. Over the following seasons, he established himself in the first team, all the while getting more playing time and gaining confidence.

Yet to turn 21, he is now leaving the historic club based in La Plata after scoring ten goals – often of high quality – in 87 matches across the league and national cup competitions. A fan favourite, he knows how to score with both feet and, before opting to move to Europe, attracted the attention of Argentina’s biggest clubs.
