Vincenzo Italiano to receive Bulgarelli Number 8 award

The “Bulgarelli Number 8” Award returns this year and will take place on Monday 19 May 2025 at 11:30 CEST in the Sala Borsa of the Municipality of Bologna. A key event in the national sporting calendar, it pays tribute to Giacomo Bulgarelli, Bologna’s legendary number 8 and one of the founders of the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC). The award honours athletes and key figures who have stood out during the 2024/2025 season.

Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci and Fiorentina’s Emma Severini will be recognised as the best midfielders in men’s and women’s Serie A for the 2024/2025 season. The award for best coach in women’s Serie A will go to Massimiliano Canzi, while Vincenzo Italiano will be honoured as the best coach in men’s Serie A.

The ceremony will be attended by institutional authorities, representatives from the world of sports and guests from the Italian football scene. It will be a moment of celebration that, in the name of Giacomo Bulgarelli, recognises football as a school of life – built on passion, ethics and respect.

The “Bulgarelli Number 8” Award is promoted and organised by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC), with the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna and the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
