Torbjørn Heggem joins Bologna

Bologna FC 1909 is delighted to announce the permanent signing of defender Torbjørn Heggem from West Bromwich Albion FC.

The first Norwegian in the Club’s history, Heggem is a left-footed centre-back who can also operate as a left-back. Strong in the air thanks to his physicality, the 26-year-old is quick and possesses solid technical qualities. A product of Rosenborg’s youth sector, Heggem played for Ranheim, Sandnes and Swedish outfit Brommapojkarna before joining West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2024. In England, he made 45 appearances in the Championship. Now firmly on the rise, he has been regularly called up to represent his country since October 2024.
