Reaction from match winner Joao Mario

João Mário, Bologna’s match-winner, spoke at full-time:

“I’m very happy with the goal and with progressing to the next round. I’m not used to playing on the left, but technically it’s not that different. The coach wanted to adapt me to that role and, as always, I gave 100%.

Our objective in this competition is to go as far as possible, taking it one match at a time. I feel good in Bologna, I’m happy and I want to keep helping the team.

Freiburg or Roma? They’re both impressive opponents — I don’t have any particular preference.”
