Post-match reaction after Milan defeat

Vincenzo Italiano commented on tonight’s defeat: “We prepared well and approached the game the right way, but we just can’t seem to play two good matches in a row. We concede after every mistake, pay the price for every lapse, we’re fragile at the back, and we’ve lost our solidity. We need to put things right, and it’s up to us to find the key.”

Remo Freuler also spoke after the game: “It’s a result that’s hard to accept. We made mistakes that, against teams like AC Milan, who are very strong, are punished heavily. There’s frustration that we didn’t play the game we’d prepared. We’re aware of the difficult period we’re going through: we’re making too many individual errors that help the opposition score, and we’re not staying focused for the full 90 minutes. We want to bounce back. We have a home match against Parma on Sunday and need to play as well as we can without making mistakes to start winning in the league again.”
