Joey Saputo receives the national Giuseppe Prisco Award

Bologna FC 1909 President Joey Saputo has won the 20th edition of the national Giuseppe Prisco Award for loyalty, fairness, and sporting spirit in the Club executives’ category.

The awards ceremony, presented by Pier Luigi Pardo, was held today, Monday 22nd September, at the Marrucino Theatre in Chieti. Due to work commitments, the President was unable to attend, but there to accept the award on his behalf was Carlo Caliceti, Head of Communications at Bologna FC 1909.

The decision was made by a special jury chaired by Italo Cucci and composed of Ivan Zazzaroni, Marco Civoli, Franco Zappacosta, Ilaria D’Amico, and Giancarlo Abete (former FIGC President and current Head of the National Amateur League). The judging panel was coordinated by entrepreneur Marcello Zaccagnini, President of the organising committee. Also in attendance were Gabriele Gravina, President of the FIGC, and Ezio Maria Simonelli, President of Serie A.
