Ibrahim Sulemana joins Bologna

Bologna FC 1909 announce the signing of Ibrahim Sulemana, on loan from Atalanta BC, until 30 June 2026, with option of a permanent deal.

Becoming the fifth Ghanaian in the Club’s history, Ibrahim is a right-footed midfielder, born in 2003, and has been representing his nation for over a year now. Known for his ability in cutting out attacks and recovering the ball, Sulemana can play in front of the defence or as a box-to-box midfielder. He is gifted with long-range shooting skills, and is dynamic and physically strong.

Ibrahim began his adventure in Italy in Verona’s Primavera in the 2021-22 season, and after experience in Serie A in the following season, he joined Ranieri’s Cagliari in 2023. The midfielder is now saying goodbye to Atalanta, where he played ten games and scored two goals last years (both highly important in the last month, against Roma and Genoa), to start a new adventure in Rossoblù.
