Farewell Civ

Gianfranco Civolani passed away yesterday evening at the age of 83. A journalist, author and correspondent for Tuttosport and then later Corriere dello Sport-Stadio, and also the unmistakable face of È Tv, Civolani wrote dozens of books on football and sport and told the story of Bologna for over 60 years. His style of writing, disenchanted, ironic and always recognisable, accompanied the Rossoblù in all their exploits from the post-war period until today.

Bologna always had a place in his heart, even when he showed the required level of detachment as he remained a true professional throughout his career.

Farewell Civ, Bologna will remember you every morning, just as all your readers will do as they look for your signature in the papers. That signature we all wish we could see again.
