Donadoni: “We made too many mistakes during our best spell”

Roberto Donadoni had this to say after Sunday’s match at the Meazza: “We conceded the second goal naively just as we were threatening Milan. We had a number of chances, but we made continuous mistakes in the final phase of play. Our performances have so far been good against the big teams, although we are thinking too much about our opponents and this reduces confidence in our own abilities. We need to alter this mentality. Even this evening we showed that if we play how we know how then we can be dangerous, however, this isn’t enough. Destro is working better, but it reasonable for us to expect some quality play from him and not just his normal contribution. He must also find this self-belief.”
