Donadoni: “A good performance against in-form opposition”

This was what Roberto Donadoni had to say after his side’s 3-0 win during #BFCBenevento on Sunday: “It was a good match. It was not an easy game, playing against a team who have recently been enjoying a good spell of form. We started well, but were then fortunate not to concede from an early counter-attack. The team were a bit disjointed after this, although we then managed to control the match well and get the result. The team decided to make Verdi captain and Mirante voluntarily gave up the armband. Dzemaili performed well. He is still not at peak match fitness but it was a good return.”
