Palacio’s was the fourth quickest goal in club history
Ready, set, go and Bologna are in the lead. Rodrigo Palacio’s header just 24 seconds after the opening whistle was the fourth fastest goal in Bologna history. The fastest goal ever for the club was scored by Stefano Chiodi who also scored away at Napoli after 15 seconds on 11 January 1976 in a match which eventually finished 2-2. Igor Shalimov is second, he scored after 18 seconds on 5 April 1998 in a 2-0 win over Udinese. Third is Loris Pradella who found the net after 20 seconds on 9 March 1986 in a 2-0 victory over Catanzaro, just four seconds quicker than Palacio. After, the fifth quickest Bologna goal was scored by Mario Della Valle back on 26 October 1919 after 30 seconds in Bologna 9-0 Nazionale Emilia.
