Cesar Falletti’s career so far

As the 22nd Uruguayan ever to feature for our club, Cesar is capable of playing out wide or as a Trequartista and is evidently an attacker of doubtless quality. Having played for Ternana for the last four seasons, it has been abundantly clear that Falletti was well above the average in Serie B.

A right-footed player who is fast and comfortable on the ball, Falletti played a key part for Ternana last season, during which they amazingly avoided relegation. Up until Liverani’s arrival as coach, a spot in Serie C seemed almost inevitable, however two months of consistent and strong results helped the Fere ultimately secure salvation, much thanks to the inspirational play from Falletti. Never producing a dull goal, the attacker is renowned for his long-range striking ability, while his quick-fire shooting technique and composed style of dribbling helps him particularly well when bearing down on goal.

His first year in Italy with Ternana was slow-burning and Cesar failed to impress on a consistent basis for his new club. However, 2015 was the turning point for the player, with his rate of both goals and appearances increasingly dramatically. Becoming more determined and obtaining increased responsibility within the team, the Uruguayan was soon the driving force of the Rossoverde. Flying past opponents with ease, Falletti often displayed his killer instinct when in front of goal and finishing was rarely a problem. His self-styled volley against Avellino last March was one of the most stunning goals in Serie B all season, while strikes against Vicenza and Ascoli were ultimately both crucial in helping his side avoide relegation. The player joined Bologna on a permanent transfer in July 2017.
