Bologna, Together with the Sant’Orsola Foundation

Bologna FC 1909 announces the launch of a charitable initiative to work with the Sant’Orsola Foundation: a special auction aimed at raising funds for a very important social cause.

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A has contributed to the initiative by donating a scale model of the Torre di Maratona, the iconic symbol of the Renato Dall’Ara, to Bologna FC, crafted using vibrant brick. The Club has decided to donate this unique piece to the Sant’Orsola Foundation in Bologna in another gesture of solidarity. The replica of the Torre di Maratona, which serves as a symbol of the bond between the city, football, and art, will be displayed inside Pavilion 13 of Bologna’s Sant’Orsola Hospital, as a message of hope and support for patients and hospital staff. There will be 200 customisable plaques attached to its base and auctioned to raise funds. Those who take part in the auction will have the chance to have their name engraved onto a plaque, leaving a lasting memory on a symbol of pride and hope for Bologna.

Part of the proceeds will go towards covering the costs of running the auction, but the majority of funds will be allocated directly to the projects of the Sant’Orsola Foundation.

The auction will open on Thursday, 4 September, on this link and will close on Thursday, 18 September. Everyone is invited to take part, contributing with a real gesture that could impact the lives of so many.
