Thiago Motta’s post-match comments

Thiago Motta had this to say after passing the Coppa round:

“Winning is always important, we wanted this qualification and now we have to follow it up. The team played compactly, the game was visible at times but now the head goes straight to Lecce: we only have two days to prepare for the match. The alternation of Zirkzee and Arnautovic was planned, so we can have both available for Sunday. However, those who thought it would be easy against Cagliari were wrong, they came to play as we imagined they would. Even against Lecce it will not be easy, every match has its own story, we will work hard in these two days”.
