Soriano on a difficult evening

“We played our game and it wasn’t easy. We were at home for five days and we only had one session this week but that shouldn’t be an excuse. We approached the game well and played our game and then we took the lead. They then got a bit lucky and scored from a mix-up in the box and then a second. I’m annoyed that we didn’t take any points because we got ourselves in front and we all gave it our all. We needed to have a bit more edge in the challenge in the second half and then gone on to finish the game off. My role? We’ve changed the system and I have adapted; we’ve been playing well in this new formation. Personally, I’m ready to fight harder and score less, if that’s what it takes to see the team win. I’m a shame because we could’ve given it a little bit more in the final moments of tonight’s game.”
