Schouten’s comments after the draw in Turin
This is what Jerdy Schouten had to say to Dazn after today’s match: “We’re really disappointed with the result. The final minutes were difficult; we defended with nine men and did everything to keep our lead intact, but it wasn’t enough. It’s a shame because I’m sure we would have won if we’d had eleven men on the pitch. However, we put in a really good performance at a stadium where it’s never easy to play, and I’m proud of the team. My battle with Dybala? He’s a great player and it’s difficult to play against him. While I did well, credit should go to the whole team.
“We’ve picked up five points from our last three matches and are enjoying a positive period. We’re feeling good and believe in our abilities. While we may be in a comfortable position, we play every game to win. Talking to the Coach helps us; his influence on this match was there.”
