Saturday’s opponents: Crotone

A good win against Fiorentina, nine points on the table with just eight goals scored, Crotone have been efficient this season and reached a points tally which took them 21 matches to get to last season. On the road however, they have only picked up one point which came in Ferrara but in general the Calabrian side still seem competitive in Serie A with a group that’s equipped to keep battling until the end.

The Coach Nicola has done well to get by despite the loss of Falcinelli who played such a key role in their survival last season. The striker partnership of Trotta and Budimir is still settling while the big man Simy is the first alternative after the loss of the promising Tumminello due to a series of injuries. Solid and compact, the Calabrians are always very compact and often rely on long balls while the everpresent Barberis is tasked with winning the ball back which his done 20 times this season and he’s made 23 tackles. By him is the lively Rohden who has also found the goal this season with strikes against Benevento and Torino. Andrea Nalini makes the most of space after scoring the goal to keep Crotone up last season and he’s a winger with strength and energy.

With an average of 18.13 minutes spent on the ball per match, Crotone have a clear intent to pressurise opponents while the numbers faced by the impressive Cordaz haven’t been particularly good for them with 21 goals conceded from 59 shots on target and 155 in total.
