Poli: “We showed character. We really got going in the second half of the season”

Andrea Poli following the game tonight in which he scored the first Bologna goal:

“The second half of the season was a great run, we’re a tight-knit group and we managed to emerge from thousands of difficulties. The Coach’s arrival gave us great ruthlessness and motivation. We’ve shown our characteristics, great characteristics. The Coach had the courage to come and join us while we were in the situation that we were in and we listened from the first day. We played against everyone with our heads held high, we did well. We’re so happy! We need to improve for the future, while looking to set bigger objectives.”
