Gonzalez: “A vital result for us”

Gonzalez had this to say after the Rossoblu’s match on Monday: “We came to Verona with the intention of winning and we’ve managed to do so. This does not detract from our poor first-half performance however. In Serie A there are no easy matches, but there is still a need to do better. Conviction and a lot of courage are necessary. In this division there are a lot of teams who play good football and spirit always makes the difference out on the pitch. As for doing better away from home so far this season, it’s just a coincidence. We’ve played well at Bologna but for some reason achieved better results away. Tonight’s win is crucial, as we’ve managed to end a bad run of results.”
